Course Overview

The First Aid at Work (FAW) – 3 Day Course is a comprehensive and practical qualification designed for individuals who have been appointed as workplace first aiders. This course provides learners with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deal with a wide range of workplace injuries and medical emergencies. Delivered by experienced and qualified trainers, the course combines theory with hands-on practical scenarios to ensure participants are fully prepared to respond effectively in real emergency situations.

Topics Covered

The course covers a wide range of essential first aid topics, including:

  • Roles and responsibilities of a workplace first aider

  • Assessing an incident and managing the scene safely

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use of an AED

  • Unconsciousness and recovery position

  • Choking

  • Bleeding and shock

  • Fractures, sprains, and soft tissue injuries

  • Burns and scalds

  • Head, neck, and spinal injuries

  • Medical conditions such as heart attack, stroke, asthma, seizures, and diabetes

All content is delivered in line with current workplace first aid guidance.
