2. Scope

3. Legal Framework

This policy is underpinned by UK and Northern Ireland legislation, including:

  • Equality Act 2010 (UK) – which protects individuals from discrimination based on disability and requires reasonable adjustments to ensure fair treatment.

  • Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (Northern Ireland) – which makes it unlawful to discriminate against disabled people in employment, education, and the provision of goods, facilities, and services.

  • Exell Training is fully committed to complying with these laws.

4. Policy Statement

  • Reasonable adjustments will be made to meet the needs of learners with disabilities (e.g., additional support, adjustments in delivery, etc.).

  • No learner will be treated less favourably because of a disability.

  • Trainers and staff are expected to treat all learners with dignity, fairness, and respect.

  • We are committed to continuous improvement in promoting accessibility and inclusivity.

5. Responsibilities

  • Director: ensures compliance.

  • General Manager: promotes inclusive practice and ensures this policy is implemented and monitored.

  • All Staff and Trainers: provide reasonable adjustments and promote equal treatment.
